Plastered 8 Giant Deconstructed Doll Project

We play with memories a lot and in China you always source incredible talent for creating your messed up ideas/dreams. This is based on a deconstructed version of a toy doll that came from Russia to China in the 1970s. Its called “Bu Dao Wang”, it rocked back and forth but never fell over (think webles in UK). We sketched and took it to a factory that makes Mao statues outside Beijing. The result was better than we imagined. We then stuck it in the shop window and it became a popular place for wedding photos. Its about 1,9m high.
