Artwork for new Locomotive Susu restaurant Beijing

We love partnering with brands like Susu that aren’t afraid to take creative risks. Susu, Beijing’s best Vietnamese restaurant chain, has just opened a new location in Changping.

For this project, we drew inspiration from the classic Chinese middle school English learning books from the 1990s, featuring characters Li Lei and Han Mei. In our artwork, these two characters embark on a trippy space adventure in search of the holy Susu (the melon that Susu is named after and features in their logo). The piece is designed to resemble a retro comic book cover, broken into engaging comic strip-style stories.

The new Susu space is stunningly designed and well worth a visit.
