Monster Control

Monster Control” is a new series of artwork inspired by retro Ultraman magazine covers and the concept of giant monsters descending upon Hong Kong. In this world, colossal monsters surrender to control and embrace ordinary lives and jobs in today’s Hong Kong.

Each artwork depicts a scene from the streets of Hong Kong, featuring a giant monster reminiscent of the Ultraman series. These monsters have given up terrorizing the city and are now doing mundane jobs or simply hanging out, having surrendered to control.

Created in the style of the 1980s magazines that celebrated ultraman culture. This series will be exhibited with Young Soy gallery from Dec 7th to 22nd 2023.
