Plastered 8 Stores are closing

I am sad to announce that the Plastered 8 journey as a retail brand in Beijing is coming to an end, after 16 magical years of creating immature impulsive ideas, incredible artwork and products and not to mention the world’s best service through our team of dedicated and powerful Beijing Ayis.

It’s time to change.

We’ve had fun celebrating Beijing and being part of its creative scene for 16 years, serving millions of customers and collaborating with crazy talented local illustrators, sculptors, musicians, and film makers to create our own Plastered 8 aesthetic that you see on our t-shirts and on the walls of some of Beijing’s great establishments.

When we opened the first little creative store on Nan Luo Gu Xiang in 2006 we aspired to be the best at what we did —not the biggest — and still remain a family-owned business today.

The last 2+ years have been a struggle for our retail locations in Beijing. We’ve given it our best but it is time now to close the stores.

From all of us on the Plastered 8 team we’d like to truly thank all of you wonderful Plastered 8 fans for supporting us on our creative journey over these years.

If you love our products, come by our hutong stores that will remain open until October 15th… there is still time to panic buy. Please pop in and see the Ayis or grab the last stuff before we sell out online.

While our retail outlets close, the art and ideas must go on, and Plastered 8 will still be creating our art installations, collaborating and taking on commissions, as we continue the brand in its new form. You can stay up to date with what we’re up to on plastered.com or our social media channels.
